"We try a different luau every time on island. This I have mix feels. The show was my least favorite. I like the variety of the food. Most of it was good. Ribs couldn't even eat they were so dry and hard. But I loved all the activities. I paid extra for the very first time to have premium seating. Did not like them because we were 2nd row, that was fine but we were off to the side next to trees that people kept walking between us and them. Also must have been shows photographer litter ly standing behind our chair way to close. Our group pictures did turn out good though. They should offer a package deal or a discount with the more you buy. They don't."

"Attended for Christmas with my family and was a really nice luau. The staff was super friendly and the dancers were amazing. My daughter was invited on stage to dance and really enjoyed the experience. The food was overall very good, but we were disappointed that we didn't see the pig dug up and brought in. We had attended another luau in the past and that was a really neat cultural part of it. The location was great and we got lots of nice pictures at sunset. Overall very good"

"Our overall experience was great. But the reason for the 4 star review is due to the scheduling.
When we booked the Luau (months in advance), it was advertised as check in at 4:30 and the event was to be from 5-8pm. But a few days prior, we received a text message stating that check-in was at 5:30 and the event was from 6-9pm. Due to the conflicting times, we arrived at 4, found parking and made our way down to the Luau grounds. We then found out that the text message that had been sent earlier in the week was correct and the event had been moved back by an hour. While this wasn't a huge inconvenience due to it being late in the day, we did talk to a few other groups that had booked it for 4:30 and the event now overlapped with other plans they had later in the day.
As far as the food and the Luau itself, that was all fantastic. The food was fresh and hot and tasted amazing. I was a little worried due to some previous reviews listing the food as "mediocre" or "meh" but after my first few bites, I was able to debunk all of those. Not sure if we lucked out this time around or maybe those that left those reviews have 5 star meals everyday and were comparing this to those. Being an average person eating average food, the meal at the Luau was pretty dang good.
Overall, if they would get the scheduling sorted out, this review would have been 5 stars."
