Reviews Summary
Salt Creek Trail is praised for its well-maintained paved paths, making it ideal for walking, running, and biking, with beautiful sunset views and convenient amenities like benches and a bike repair station. Some visitors note concerns about fast cyclists on shared paths, and the Canyonlands location presents a challenging backcountry experience with historical significance.
"Paved trail. The lady with adorable fur babies saw me reading the sign about cyclists. She was right when she said bikers won't listen to the sign. Most bikers don't have a bell and are way too fast - scary! There are lots of surfers. There were awesome volunteers cleaning up the beach."
Amie Sarte
"My daughter and I decided to take a walk down the Salt Creek Trail. We really enjoyed the sunset along with the scenery. It was nice to see that Alejandro Turnbull with his Eagle Scout Project, put in a bike repair station. The trail is very well kept and there are benches along the way for some of us who need a break. I'm grateful to live in this area and hopefully will someday walk the length of the trail. Parking is easy and plentiful as we went at sunset. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to take a evening stroll or to runners and cyclist too."

It is not a loop. Not sure how long it is , I got to run 3 miles from the beginning at Chaparosa Park and came back up, I run out time. It is very hilly, beautiful views."
