It's a relaxing spot for fishing and wildlife viewing, though securing prime picnic spots on busy days requires an early arrival.

"First time visiting the park on Easter Sunday. Restrooms very clean in the early morning. The park rangers were very communicative about the rules of the park and let us know if we need garbage bags for trash to please wave them down. Since it was a special day First come first serve kinda deal so make sure to get there early to set aside your grill/tables. Overall beautiful open areas perfect for family and pets. The trails are beautiful to walk around and people fishing by the lake. Just caution when crossing through because of the smaller areas and incoming cars."

"Really nice quiet park, arrived here early for the fishing. Beautiful little man made lake. Arrived with my kids to see another fisherman bringing in a bass. Pulled in a couple blue gill ourselves. Lots of trail and road hiking. You can tell a lot of the locals use this place to exercise. All in all a very relaxing fishing trip and pleasant lake environment. Quiet and perfect for a weekend outing for a few hours."
