What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Cattails MeadowView Golf Course is praised for its excellent back nine layout and well-maintained Bermuda fairways and bent greens. The staff consistently receives high marks for friendliness and helpfulness. However, the absence of a driving range and occasional unrepaired ball marks on greens are noted drawbacks, along with ambient road noise from the nearby highway.
"Very little to complain about with the course. It is well maintained, the staff was friendly and the rate reasonable. The front nine is decent if slightly underwhelming but the back nine is fantastic. I mean one of the nicest layouts I have seen.
Good: Staff was nice and helpful. Pretty much everyone there was. Fairways and bunkers were decent condition. The back nine ranks up there with some of the better courses I have played as far as layout. Condition of the whole course ranged from pretty good to really good.
Cons: No driving range. I know that space might be a premium but better courses have a practice area. Something to know if you want to play.
Front nine isn't bad, just not as challenging as the back. That isn't a slam but it feels like two different courses and you tend to forget the front nine holes. Greens are in good shape but there was an issue of unrepaired ball marks. I consider ball mark repair to be a 80% individual golfer responsibility and 20% on the course. I think the course could do a bit better with that 20 percent responsibility.
It is close to the highway so you deal with road noise no matter what you do. It does take away a bit from the ambience of the course.
Overall, if I could give it a 4.5 on Google I would. I think it is better than a 4 though. So I will error on the high side."

"The course is great but very busy. I'm not going back unless I can get the first tee time of the day. I went today at 230 and the smart ass starter tells me I'm grouped up. I told him no I'm not I booked it for 4 people so I wouldn't be grouped up. I've had multiple bad experiences doing that bs and I don't do it. I'm a very private person and I don't want to play with someone I don't know. I was considering buying one of there gold cards for next year. But I'm not now if I can't play by myself. It's getting cold around here and it's to cold to go at 730 8 o'clock in the morning. The guys and gals that work in the pro shop are great but that's wasn't the first time the starter has been a smart ass"

"Fun course, good greens. Really pleasant experience overall. Everything is in good condition on the course and the staff is amazing. There were a few areas around the greens that need some work, but it seems that will be fixed judging by the condition of the rest of the course. Wish there was a driving range, but the practice green is very nice."
