What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Bays Mountain Park for its beautiful scenery, diverse hiking trails, and engaging Nature Center with a planetarium. The fire tower offers stunning panoramic views, and the park's commitment to rescuing and caring for wildlife is highly admired. Some visitors note that certain amenities, like barge rides, are seasonal.
"We went on a Monday when there's nothing going on. So we didn't get to experience all the fun things they offer. We would definitely come back but when we can do all that they have to offer. Also the barge rides are not currently happening either. A staff member said it would be spring before it's operating again."
Rachel Grizzle
"We loved going here for field trips as kids, going here on dates, and now going with our friends and family. It's a nice learning experience. We are excited to see the new fox playground that is under construction 🚧. We love the informational barge rides and the guide has great humor. There is a private space you can rent for parties, etc. hopefully for more and newer exhibit in the future. The gift shop is really cute and have great variety, featuring local crafters/businesses. Planetarium shows are always breathtaking to experience."

"Beautiful park! Well maintained trails, in a variety of difficulty levels from easy to expert. Educational opportunities for the kids. Absolutely worth the small admission charge, and we'll likely get a membership. We did the Lakeside Trail, around 2.5 miles long, with some moderate incline/decline throughout."
