Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Mary Jo Peckham Park's diverse activities, from its fun miniature golf and playground to its peaceful fishing lake and walking trails. The park is praised for being family-friendly, safe, and handicap accessible, with many appreciating the ease of obtaining photography permits. Some visitors noted that the parking lot can get full, and there are no on-site food vendors, suggesting visitors bring their own provisions.
"This park was such an incredible location for Project 100 — my little community outreach adventure where I’m photographing 100 families before the end of 2025 (because moms deserve photos that don’t involve balancing a phone on a diaper bag).
Getting the photography permit was a breeze — and you know that makes my heart happy. I’m very particular about permits (yes, I’m that mom), mostly because I like to respect the rules and protect my clients’ privacy. If the city ever gives out gold stars for following instructions, please tag me.
We had the most beautiful event here this Sunday! I got to photograph 8 gorgeous families — hair flying, toddlers negotiating snacks, dads pretending they weren’t sweating — the usual. Each family gets 5 photos, and let me tell you… they are chef’s kiss.
Now let’s talk about this location. LOOK at it. This park was showing off.
Fun fact: you can actually fish here! (Don’t ask me what kind of fish — all I know is they live in the water and mind their business.)
There’s also a long walking trail where you can stroll, speed-walk, or ride your bicycle like you’re in your fitness-era montage. The whole atmosphere is peaceful, joyful, and very “my kids finally fell asleep in the stroller” coded.
10/10 would photograph here again.
Our next stop? John Paul Landing in Cypress — and I’m already bouncing with excitement. Project 100 is movingggg!"

"We love this park. Giant park. Parking lot was full. Many kids and families and such a beautiful place to spend your time!
Also Not sure who to reach out to but we did notice that one of the ducks has a fishing hook on its face :("
