What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for Art Alley Crossroads are highly polarized. Some visitors find it to be a vibrant and exciting outdoor art gallery, perfect for photos and experiencing the local creative scene, especially during First Fridays. Others express disappointment, citing issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and a feeling of unsafety, describing it as more 'graffiti' than 'art.'
"This place is disgusting. It is a smelly, dirty alley with lots of broken glass, garbage, overgrown weeds, cracked sidewalks, and discarded clothing. The graffiti is not much more than the sloppy, scribbling tags you see on buildings that give graffiti its bad name. Trying to pass this off as a tourist attraction is doing a disservice to people visiting KC. It's in a deserted, desolate area, and I felt unsafe there. I live in NYC and I cannot think of a place there that's as gross as this is. This place doesn't look like its been maintained all summer. And to top it off, a dead bird lying on its back, claws in the air greeted us halfway through the walk! Until the people of KC take some ownership and responsibility of the Alley, stay away. I can't not recommend this place enough."

"Definitely more of a “Graffiti Alley” than an Art Alley, but I still enjoyed seeing all of the colors."
