"I was a bit late for the sunrise, but it was a bit cloudy. Still loved the stillness and quiet atmosphere being there. I didn’t walk the trails because my flight was leaving at a certain time but definitely some breathtaking views!!"
Nicole Pratt
"Lone Pine is a great spot to view the Flathead Valley from the north end of Flathead Lake to Big Mountain and some peaks in Glacier NP. A graphic at the top viewpoint shows the names of peaks along the Swan Mountain range. The city of Kalispell is in full view. Trails can be steep and are pretty much either up or down hill. Not a lot of long flats. Several places along the trails offer great views of the valley. Dog friendly but PLEASE leash dogs at ALL times. Vehicles with out of state plates are charged a small fee."

"I’m a traveling petsitter and I enjoyed bringing the dogs I was taking care of here to hike! The trails were in great shape and I appreciated the picnic tables and availability of water for the pups. Parking was easy and the park wasn’t crowded at all, even on a weekend in September.
I don’t carry cash so the pay envelopes weren’t a great option for me. Would love another way to pay.
Saw a man refusing to leash his dog even though it’s clearly the rule. Be careful out there!"
