"Always an awesome trail. Saw goats and clear views of the Flathead Valley and Jewel Basin. Highly recommend this hike as an alternative to Glacier National Park. It is moderately busy, but there were plenty of people going other routes after the trail splits.
Not many places to fill up your water along the trail, so bring plenty of it. In August there are huckleberries!"

"Trailhead for #8 and #717. We did #8 (Noisey Creek) up to Twin Lakes and back. It is a Forest Service road. You need clearance. Don’t gas it- you’ll be fine. We took a Nissan Rogue up and had no issues.
Views were spectacular. On our descent, we came up on a momma moose and her baby. They were off the trail about 15yds."
