What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Flathead County Fairgrounds offer a mixed bag of experiences. While events like the rodeo are praised for accessibility and excitement, and RV camping provides an affordable base, some visitors note issues with grounds maintenance and inconsistent staff interactions. It's a functional venue for events and camping, but expectations should be managed regarding upkeep and service.
"Not being from Montana, seeing the Northwestern Montana Rodeo was a super cool experience! Grandstands were set up well and I could see all the events, and traffic and parking around the fairgrounds was super accessible as well so overall not a bad location."

"Visited the fairgrounds for the first time for the bi-annual gun show in my RV expecting basic service. The main pavilion was very nice but the grounds were very run down, not maintained and looked bad (poor weed control and dead grass everywhere). There was little to no 30 or 50 amp power, water or septic hook ups for RVs. Ended up dry camping most of the weekend due to an unrepaired electrical problem that the staff really did not care about. (I am not sure what the full time County staff does there to be honest). It’s too bad that County officials do not invest any money into the fairgrounds because it was my first impression of Kalispell and the County. I will be back next year for the gun show but meanwhile I hope Flathead County decides to improve the grounds, repair buildings and have better RV service. Otherwise I will assume the worst and plan accordingly."

"Great place to stay while visiting the area. Each light pole has two 30 amp outlets for RV camping. Had one other camper to share the RV park during the time we were here. Convenient to glacier national park, local stores, and restaurants. Would have given five stars if they had water hookups at the sites. $25 per night for level sites. Good alternative to pricey RV resort or total boondocking."
