What a Guide's Choice looks like. When I get my group, I get to choose which trail to do. We have East and West Glacier Trails. East is a very pretty 4 mile loop trail with a 700-foot elevation gain mostly in the forest cover. When the salmon are running guest get to observe them on a bridge that we cross. There are a few waterfalls and creeks to view, and bear claw scratches in a tree close to on...

"This is one of my favorite hikes in Juneau,AK. it takes about an hour and half to do."

Jamie Daniels

"Beautiful trail. Lots of greenery. Although there is no summit in this trail, it was very good throughout.

Around half the trail, there is a quarter a mile to and back overlook trail. Do not recommend this. There was no overlook and the views were covered with trees.

The rangers in the visitor center had informed about bears. I didn't see any bears, but there had been recent sightings. Those are mostly black bears."
