Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Cache Creek Trailhead for its stunning natural beauty and dog-friendly atmosphere, offering a less crowded alternative to national parks. While the trails are generally well-maintained, they can become very muddy after rain, and some visitors note the need for appropriate footwear due to icy patches in cooler months. Overall, it's a highly recommended local gem for outdoor enthusiasts. Reddit

"Great trails nearby Jackson for dog friendly adventuring! When we went, there were people out but the trails weren’t crowded and we went long periods without running into anyone.

Dogs are allowed. They must be on leash in designated areas near the parking lot and for a short distance onto the trail. After that, dogs are allowed off leash if trained. We did see bikers, skiers, and obviously other hikers, so be prepared for those encounters in the winter."

Claire Kapron

"I went with a friend and this was my first time ever going to cache creek, the trial is rugged but it’s so beautiful. Made the mistake of going a 2 nd time when it was rainy won’t do that again seeing its a dirt trail so super muddy. But I will start going every time I’m here to cache creek."

Lizzi Perino

"Gorgeous trail, in many ways better than going into Teton or Yellowstone. Not very crowded particularly in the early morning but still plenty of amazing views. And lots of options to choose your difficulty."
