What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Bloomington Cave for its challenging and rewarding spelunking experience, with the 'Big Room' and extensive passages being major draws. However, the difficult access road and the need for permits are frequently mentioned challenges. Some find the cave disorienting, emphasizing the importance of preparation and caution.
"I love Bloomington Cave. Even though I'm from Salt Lake, I've been twice and hope to go again soon. The road to the cave can be a bit difficult to follow, but doable most often by a 2WD vehicle with average clearance (although a better vehicle is recommended in case of bad conditions). Don't be fooled by the easy "Boy Scout Route", it isn't too easy. We attempted the most difficult route and got lost and stuck several times. The first time we entered, we got stuck in the Big Room and couldn't find the exit, but it is there at the top of the room if you look hard enough (or you have climb through a small hole on the far left side of the room (looking up). Great cave for beginners and advanced alike!"
