"We almost always make a detour to Illwaco when in the area to visit, catch up on his latest waitlist and hopefully get to see his latest piece in process! We have most of our Wallspace covered in Don and other Southwest Washington Coadt local artists! It’s our happy place and Don as a person and in his work creates, celebrates and shows us all what a truly beautiful place it is, both is humorous images of seagulls and Crab roasting marshmallows on a beach fire to exquisitely crafted images of the wildlife, the scenic area, detailed maps and relics and life in a beach community! And if it’s a Saturday in the summer the boardwalk farmers market may be going on or on the first a Thursday I think (ask Don) there is an art walk"
