"It was a great blessing to visit the Temple B'nai Sholom. Our teenagers were able to see the harvest of goodness that God gave to Abraham.

We felt as though this sacred space of fellowship is a relevant & divine manifestation of what the United States is always hoping to achieve and maintain.
The rights of freedom to worship and the protection of those rights is essential and part of the foundation of what we believe.

The music was joyful, thoughtful and memorable. We appreciated the kindness of Eli, who helped us to follow along in the songbook, and to Fred Tamm-Daniels, the song leader.

We loved the blessing of prayer for Sandra who is celebrating her 85th birthday!

Thank you, to DeAnna Scott, and Abby Murphree for welcoming us, and to Rabbi Rami and Rabbi Schwartz for your inspiring words of God.

We will always remember and treasure this visit into a community that is genuine, hopeful, and full of God's grace."

"Temple B'nai Sholom has been my spiritual home for more than 30 years. The stunning historic sanctuary feels like a step back in time, our congregation is welcoming and we have an active groups within our community for young families, Sisterhood and Brotherhood. We are more than a century old and are continuing to thrive in the 2020's."

"One of the oldest Reform Congregations in the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ), Temple B'nai Sholom is the oldest synagogue in continuous use in Alabama. Our congregation is dynamic and diverse and newcomers are always welcome!

Huntsville’s first Jewish citizens arrived during the 1840’s and congregation B’nai Sholom (“Sons of Peace”) was founded in 1876 by 32 families. Almost 150 years later, our congregation is healthy and vibrant and the center for Jewish living in our growing North Alabama community.

Temple B'nai Sholom is a special place because it nurtures three things that Jews have sought for themselves and their families, three things that infuse life with a sense of meaning and fulfillment: spirituality, learning and community. By providing a wide array of Jewish opportunities and experiences for children and adults, we empower ourselves to transmit our precious legacy from one generation to the next. We welcome you to join our inspirational community with rich meaning and lifelong friendships.

Temple B'nai Sholom offers prayer and gathering opportunities year-round, every week. Shabbat Services utilize rotating themes including traditional reform and family-friendly. We are proud to have Rabbi Scott Colbert to lead us in our transitional year.

The Temple performs a number of services for our members in the area of religious observance. In addition to our weekly Shabbat services, which are open to the public, we also mark the major Jewish holidays with special services. In addition to prayer and worship, we also work with our members to help them mark the various life cycle events. From birth to death and marriage to bar/bat mitzvah, members exclusively can avail themselves of our Rabbi for life cycle ceremonies, religious instruction and support and guidance.

Temple B'nai Sholom is proud to offer learning opportunities to people of all ages. Our educational building is also home to NACHaS, a Sunday morning religious school for children pre-K through confirmation. NACHaS is open to all members of the North Alabama Jewish Community.

We offer many opportunities and events to come together as a community as well as service the needs of our own population. We have something for everyone including thriving Sisterhood, Brotherhood and Familyhood groups. All three groups offer robust event calendars. Please join us."
