What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Paw Paw Park is cherished for its peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty, offering a serene escape with lovely river views and abundant wildlife. While it excels as a disc golf destination and a spot for kayaking and fishing, some nature trails can be challenging due to natural obstacles.
"Its a beautiful little and peaceful park. Great place to go if you want to just sit and reflect on life, but also has picnic tables if you want to sit and have a little picnic with your family or a friend! It's worth the stop in tocheck it out!"
Andrea Armintrout
"This is a lovely park, but not in the traditional sense of the word. There is a small play structure for children at the park’s entrance along with a pavilion and picnic tables, but the main draw of the park is its nature trails. There are many paths to travel and informative signs about the local nature and wildlife along the way. There are also maps at every division of the path to help you find your way.
We had to climb over one large fallen tree blocking the path and crawl underneath some shrubbery as well, so best to be adventurous and nimble. I would not recommend the trails to the elderly or those who are unable to walk far.
The flowers blooming in the fall are modest and beautiful. We saw many Monarch butterflies, frogs, and birds. A peaceful experience and a great place to explore on a nice day."
Noelle Harrity
"Lovely county park alongside the Black River. Dog friendly (on-leash). Looped walking trails through the woods take you along the river, through the woods and back to parking area. Trails can get a little muddy after a good rain, or during spring thaw. Small playground and picnic shelter."
