Hippie Hole offers a magical, albeit challenging, natural swimming experience with a beautiful waterfall. Visitors appreciate the adventure of the hike and the refreshing water, though some find the difficult access and the condition of the rope ladder concerning. The presence of trash and graffiti is a recurring negative point, impacting the overall pristine feel of this natural gem.
"the gravel road to get to the parking lot takes about 10 min of slow, bumpy driving & once there, the trails to get to the cliff jump are very challenging & dangerously steep. Although a cool sight once there, I didn’t think it was worth all that trouble."

"It was magical..beautiful non maintained trail hike. We took our three dogs and swam around the waterfall. It was a crisp swim. Going back we would want to be there closer to noon, rather than evening alnear sundown down arrival.
However. We did also see a mountain goat so that was super cool 😎... worth it!!!"

"My boys and I were going to hike to hippie hoke but ended up staying at the little run off at the beginning of the hike. It’s about half a mile to get to the little run off from the beginning of the trail. It was a fun short hike, the water was a little cold but the boys had fun looking for crawfish. This is a great place to take pictures!
On the way back we saw a memorial for Vietnam veteran Richard D. Mohler. There’s a young tree with a memorial sign asking anyone who sees it to please pour a bucket of water on the tree. My boys loved helping with this memorial."
