The whole market is chill and has that friendly, welcoming energy. You can wander between vendors, try a bit of everything, and nobody’s rushing you out. It’s the kind of spot you hit up with a buddy, grab some grub, and just hang out. I grabbed the mofongo with pernil and tossed in some tostones on the side. Dude, the mofongo was legit; just like you’d want it: super flavorful, packed with garlic, not too dry, and they nailed the texture. The pernil (that slow-roasted pork) was melt-in-your-mouth good. Seriously, each bite just worked, especially when you mixed a little of everything together. The tostones? Extra crispy on the outside, but soft in the middle perfect for scooping up the sauce. Then came dessert at Blue Heron. I couldn’t resist their cookies & cream ice cream cone. Creamy, tons of cookie chunks; basically the classic done right. Perfect way to wrap up the meal."
