"My daughter got engaged in beginning of October in the gazebo. It is an absolutely beautiful park many flowers blooming. Then to the restaurant for a luncheon after. Joe the manager was very pleasant and easy to work wish and the food was exceptional. Our photographer Sam, The Inverted lens, did an awesome job at capturing this special moment."

"The Helen S. Kaman Rose Garden at Elizabeth Park is absolutely breathtaking! It’s the oldest public rose garden in the country, and you can really feel the history and care that goes into preserving it. The arches covered in roses, the vibrant colors, and the fragrance in the air make it such a peaceful and magical place to walk through.

There are so many different varieties of roses, along with other beautiful gardens nearby—perennials, tulips, hostas—that make every corner worth exploring. The Conservancy clearly puts in so much effort to maintain the space, and the story of Helen S. Kaman helping to save this garden makes visiting even more special.

I recommend going in June when the roses are in full bloom—it’s stunning! A perfect spot for photos, relaxation, or simply taking in the beauty of nature. Definitely a must-visit gem in Connecticut. 🌹"

"wow. what an amazing site. my family and I were looking for a place to killed time and came across this magnificent center. it was filled w beautifully decorated flower arches, colorful bushes, endless array of plants & trees - and the best part was it was all free!

this spacious venue offers different walking trails & paths, luscious green grasses for picnics, and an abundance of scenic greeneries for photos or to escape to sun under the shades. we were in awed despite the peak bloom had passed, there were still enough to sight see. there were even at least 3 wedding parties taking place at different parts of the garden!

please come and enjoy what a truly remarkable establishment and do remember to leave it how you find it: no trash, litters, or graffiti and markings. keep this place beautiful & majestic. can't wait to come back and see the rose garden in full bloom!

also - herbs garden was very intriguing. their soft serve ice cream was top notch!"
