What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally find Schoolhouse Ridge South to be a beautiful and well-maintained trail offering a pleasant light hike with a mix of sun and shade. The historical perspective is appreciated, though some note the presence of modern buildings detracts slightly from the immersive experience. It's considered a good walk, especially for those with dogs or recovering from injuries.
"Beautiful trail, some in the sun, some in the shade. A few hills, but nothing serious. 4/5 due to seeing the townhouses and homeland security buildings from the ridge. Still, worth a stop and walk...2.7 miles nicely maintained trail."
Kylena Cross
"Nice walk. Path is in mostly grass with some mulchy bits and some muddy bits. The area around the ruins is wide open grassy plain with a nice mowed trail. Farther in has some gentle hills. Dogs are supposed to be on leash and owners are supposed to clean up but some people do not follow the rules. The CBP facility next door is doing a bunch of construction so your hike may have a soundtrack. Had a good time and a good walk for my girl healing from her knee surgery."
