What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Point Sal State Beach is lauded as an incredible, wild, and nearly uncrowded gem offering breathtaking coastal vistas. Visitors rave about the pristine beach and the vibrant, green landscape with wildflowers after rains. However, the challenging 10-mile round trip hike and potential for car break-ins at the unattended parking lot are significant drawbacks.
"Incredible, wild, and nearly no people. Only accessible via Brown Rd outside of Guadalupe β donβt try going thru the base. So incredible β about a 3 mile hike until you hit vistas. Such a wild portion of the coast β a hidden gem for sure, breathtaking. I recommend short-cutting β once you hit the trail, about 80 steps in, cross the fence and shortcut up the hill. Then, once the trail starts to plunge towards the ocean, hang a right and walk on Pt Sal Ridge. So spectacular."

"10 mile round trip hike to the beach with lots of climbing. Definitely bring lots of water and only attempt if you're fit enough to be out for 4-6 hours. The beach is pristine and one of the best kept secrets around."

"Point Sal has been my favorite hike for years. After years of drought and seen it completely brown and dry. It is back to its glory. I haven't seen so much green and so many different flowers in all the years I have visited as I saw this past weekend."
