"We had a great time with our tour of the buildings and grounds at this WI historical site. It started with a horse pulled carriage ride to the old Wade roadhouse. It is a unique property with much of the original furnishings. Our tour guide did a nice job providing details of the property and early days. After that toured the sawmill and blacksmith shop with “Tim” our guide- who really knew his history and was entertaining. After that toured the extensive carriage museum. Signage in the museum was thorough with key facts. We were there over 3 hours. Nice gift shop on the property. There is a short introductory film in a conference room downstairs. Overall a great experience and value. Both adults & kids will enjoy this."

"Wow, what can I say? This was one of the best places we stopped in our month long vacation. It was absolutely terrific. We got to ride in a wagon that was pulled by two beautiful horses and a wonderful guide. Everyone here was so kind. It’s one of the best Places to see living history. they have a blacksmith shop and a lumber mill. They also have animals on the property such as chicken, sheep, and horses. The Wade family that lived in the old house was very interesting to hear about. This is a must C for adults and children alike."

"Wonderful experience. The docents really took the time to explain things and incorporate learning for the kids and making history come alive. We spent most of our time outside, but on a rainy day or in the offseason the carriage museum also has plenty to see and do."
