What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Alliance Skate Park for its welcoming atmosphere, especially for beginners and adult learners, and the quality of its instructors. While the park offers diverse features like dirt jumps and a covered area, some note wear and tear and potential slipperiness in covered sections for certain tires.
"I visited the Alliance Skatepark for the first time a few nights ago for a skateboarding lesson. I went to the pro shop and talked to the guys working inside, and they could not have been more welcoming. There was no judgement from them towards me, the old guy, who wants to skate. Quite to the contrary, they were ecouraging and welcoming to me. I took my lesson from Allen, who was great at explainng things to me. He was encouraging and offered immediate feedback and instruction. I came in with a list of about 5-6 things I wanted to work on, but we spent a lot of time working on ollies, dropping in and riding roll to fakie in the bowl. Allen was an awesome instructor and was encouraging and offered feedback immediately. His positive teaching approach left me wanting to come back for another lesson. I will work on the skills he taught me and go back for more instruction. Great skate park and better people working there,"
