Visitors praise Escanaba Park for its beautiful waterfront views, the historic Sand Point Lighthouse, and its role as a community gathering space. It's noted as a great spot for leisurely walks, enjoying sunsets, and watching fireworks. Some find it more of a memorial park than a playground, but appreciate its scenic and peaceful atmosphere.
"This is a great place to visit never seen anything like it would love to come back for a visit, great residence. , great businesses and a great park district they have"
Jimmie Wright
"I’ve walked around and thought this park countless times as a kid/teen, but never really paid attention to what it meant or stood for. What a great memorial, and in the middle of where everyone commonly walks, to make more people aware of the people who have given their lives in service to keeping us safe. Coast Guard City, USA is the perfect place to house this memorial, and I’m happy to have been able to take it all in."
Kaylin
"Memorial park, not a playground, but lots for kids to see. Pier Peddler ice cream is right there, as well as Halaula ice cream. Take a walk and enjoy watching the boats and sunset.
Great place to observe the fireworks which are launched from the Musical Fountain area. Most people watch from the Lynne Sherwood Waterfront Stadium area, which is probably better, but crammed with people. Escanaba park was a lot more low key and had an amazing view of more than the fireworks while waiting. You can see the light houses from Escanaba Park.
The Coast Guard station is immediately next to this park and the Army Corps of Engineers is a little past that, too. The beach is just a walk down the boardwalk. You can park at Franklin Ave and S 5th St or Chinook Pier."
