Its historical significance as a WWI tribute is deeply moving, offering a quiet space for reflection. "A truly powerful and beautiful place to visit. The Maryhill Stonehenge Memorial is both impressive and deeply moving—a full-scale replica built as a World War I monument overlooking the Columbia River Gorge. The view alone is worth the trip, but the history and meaning behind the site make it unforgettable. It’s peaceful, well-maintained, and offers a quiet moment for reflection. A must-see stop if you’re exploring the area or enjoy unique historical landmarks."

"I have been driving from Washington to Oregon for the past 8 years at least every 3 months on an average, and I have seen signs for the Stonehenge, but never was able to stop because of the people I was traveling with, well I recently had a friend who was willing to check it out amd my daughter in law showed me it up close with picture she took, I had to stop. I so glad I did it was amazing, the structure a replica of the Stonehenge in the UK. It is a memorial to our fallen heroes. It is both awe inspiring and well as somber in honor of the our fallen fellow Americans.

I would suggest every parent to bring their child here it is a great history lesson in an actual visual way sharing about our country, and the UK.

I hope you enjoy the photos amd video.

This makes it the first World War I memorial in the United States. The construction spanned from 1918 to 1929, a testament to the dedication and vision behind its creation. Instagram+2
