It's a top spot for birdwatching and alligator spotting, offering a peaceful escape into nature. Some minor drawbacks include limited shade and occasional cleanliness issues with restrooms.
"Very beautiful park. There’s is a free guided tour were they take you around the park and explain to you the history of the Sweetwater wetlands. You can call them to reserve a spot, they are given every Tuesday’s and Thursdays at 9:30 am. Really recommend to get to know the place.
Plus you can walk around and observe the beautiful nature, flora and fauna. 10/10 would go again and you should visit them."

"Reason for review:
This is a real review, I visited in august and I was focusing on photography specifically looking to capture wildlife. Before I went I read lots of reviews that didn’t tell me exactly what I wanted to hear so I thought I’d write a review to help anyone who may want to hear what I needed too before coming.
Review (Neutral Notes):
Be sure to bring sunscreen, water, and if you’re sensitive to heat maybe some Advil or Tylenol for headaches. I’d eat before visiting only because you will be in for a workout regardless of what you do. Expect Bees, Wasps, and Large flies. The wildlife will not mess with you unless you mess with it, as most animals and insects are scared of you and may only act in self defense.
Review (Positive Notes):
First Impressions, Parking was pretty empty mind you it is summer time, and on a weekend, at the time of writing this. $5 for parking, full day. no entrance fees, app was easy to use, and I had no issues. Although there were many people there it didn’t feel Cramped because of how much space the area has to offer. They offer a map that you can write notes on, SUPER helpful many people write down where they spot animals and it allowed me to navigate the perfect path to find the animals I wanted to see and it was fairly accurate. They offer shaded areas along the trail to sit and rest, some of these include drinking water stations which came in handy for sure. Most of the trails were open and allowed me to move along the edges of the trails to get perfect angles for my photography. The animals themselves, tons of birds, alligators, and turtles. There were deer and an owl when I went but I’m sure that has all to do with the off chance that you stumble across them. The animals are also seem to be used to people they allowed me to get up close and personal allowing me to use a 70-200mm lens with no issues, Although I feel that may depend on the way you approach the wildlife. People are very friendly, great trail for runs or walks, and includes time consuming trails for those who want to spend the day or shorter paths for those looking for a quick sighting or workout.
Review (Negative Notes):
Lots of spider webs in certain areas, Drinking water faucet is dirty I personally did not want to use it because of that, bathroom was very unsanitary & dirty, although i had no issue reading the map it could be a lot more clear, and Informative signs we’re damaged due too heat and unable to read the information provided.
Review (Extras)
Provided photos are what I was able to capture with a good range, angle, and no editing."

"This is a wonderful place to go on a walk. The paths lead you through beautiful wetlands full of birds and other creatures, all while the landscape morphs around you. It's also a fantastic place to spot wild alligators, which turns your walk into a scavenger hunt.
It's been a while since I've been there, but last time, they had free water stations as you strolled around.
If you are looking for a nice nature walk, give this place a shot."
