What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tower Rock Natural Area offers a truly unique and impressive experience when the Mississippi River is low enough to walk across. Visitors are awed by the opportunity to reach the rock formation and enjoy the expansive river views. However, the undeveloped nature of the site, including rough access roads and lack of facilities, requires visitors to be well-prepared.
"My wife and I went to Tower Rock yesterday to see it fully exposed before the river level comes back up this weekend. It is a very impressive site but the road there is narrow, dusty, and rough. There are no restroom facilities there. I would imagine that on a normal day parking is adequate but during this time of intense interest in Tower Rock it was difficult to find a parking spot and you had to be careful driving through the large number of people walking back and forth."
