"I checked in and got a tee time with the nice gentleman inside the shack. Checked in for my tee 5 minutes prior to my tee time. Then waited for the people in front of us to finally tee off. No biggie.. then a random guy named Rick was really rude and unprofessional. Frankly has an unnecessary job position or they should just find a nice normal older gentleman to do his “check in” job. The course was fine, half the tee boxes were “closed.” I was trying to just have a nice little Sunday and play a short course with my girlfriend.. the Rick guy ruined her vibe for a little bit and in turn ruined my vibe for the first couple of holes. Will not be coming back ever again. We are regulars at Trick Rider and the little cafe spot. I don’t mind any price for anything as long as everyone is normal and having a good time. This is the very first time I feel I wasted time and money at this place. RICK has to go."

"Service was great. Course was designed more like a pitch & putt. Some tricked up greens. Some super short holes. Greens were nice however littered with ballmarks. Looked like nobody ever fixed their ballmarks including the greenskeeper, if there is one. No signage anywhere to noting WHERE the Swing facility is. Had to stop and ask several personnel where it was. Some had no clue. Finally found the little shack that served as the Swing clubhouse. Then had to get transportation back to my car parked by the Fields clubhouse to get my clubs.
Would have preferred to see a regular 9 hole, true par 3 layout, untricked layout, like an Executive 9 hole course. That’s really needed in the DFW area. Few exist today in the DFW metro area.
Despite all of these issues, I enjoyed the experience and will use the course again."

The Swing: A Unique Golfing Experience
Visitors often highlight its suitability for beginners and casual golfers, providing a less intimidating environment than a full-length course. Rental clubs are available, further lowering the barrier to entry for those without their own equipment. While the course design is praised for its fun factor and suitability for a quick round, some reviews mention that certain greens can be a bit 'tricked up' and that ball mark repair could be more consistent.
Despite minor critiques regarding course maintenance and occasional service hiccups, many find The Swing to be a worthwhile and enjoyable experience. The ability to complete a round in under two hours makes it an ideal option for a date night or a spontaneous golfing session. The pricing structure, with discounts for Frisco residents and resort guests, also adds to its appeal.
Navigating Service and Amenities
It's also worth noting that signage to locate The Swing facility can be lacking, leading some guests to stop and ask for directions. Once found, the 'clubhouse' is described as a small shack. Rental clubs are available and come with three golf balls, which is a convenient amenity for those who don't own their own equipment or are traveling light.
Despite these service-related concerns, many guests still find the experience positive, especially given the unique offering of night golf and the course's suitability for quick, casual play. The availability of seasonal events, like holiday-themed bars at the Omni PGA Frisco Resort, can also enhance the overall visit.
