"Great park for a hike close to the water. The trails were mostly easy with beautiful scenery along each one. The rocky descent to the water on some of the trails can be tricky but worth it. The park rangers were friendly and excited about their job. One was videoing an osprey nest and enjoyed sharing the video and stories about the young osprey with us. The park was a quick drive from Freeport. There is some construction in the parking areas but it didn’t hinder the enjoyment of the park."

"It was a nice stopping place on our way to Acadia. Sort of like a preview of Acadia. It had lots of picnic tables and spots to hang out. The trails were well kept and had lots of information plaques about the birds around the areas. There’s an osprey nest here, and we saw it flew by."
