This beach is great for families. On the flip side, the water here is not as clean as the Lake Michigan beaches on the other side of the park."

We walked the beach which was clean and vibrant, used the facilities which were stunningly clean, and enjoyed a break from a long road trip with a perfect little relaxation. There's a trail leading to the dam and another that leads along Lake Hamlin - both are easy to hike and full of nature. It was awesome to see chipmunks and squirrels running about, and to see how clean everything was (no litter anywhere) really speaks to how well loved this place is - we'll be back!"
