"This is an interesting place. Tours of the site are by appointment, check their website for information. Tickets, which are free, are required for the tours. They also conduct special programs, today Martha Washington was in attendance, next week it’s “Preserving the Harvest.” Sign up information in the website.
Parking was a little confusing, follow the arrows on the gates… one parks away from the historic house and then takes a walking path to the the museum store and the rest of the buildings. The site is accessible ♿️, though the path is rocky. Several people went by on their wheelchairs without trouble. The house itself has two floors, the second floor is reached by stairs.
Plenty of parking.
No food/drinks. No photos inside, which seems a shame and I wish these historic sites would allow photography. Made sense in the time of flashbulbs harming historic papers/artifacts, doesn’t make sense now."

"We went for a George and Martha presentation. It was excellent! But just as important, the communication prior to the event was very useful. They made the guest aware of changes, directions, and new info. The Friends and volunteers were very friendly and welcoming. The grounds are lovely. We look forward to returning when the Martha mannequin is finished and resides with the George mannequin. Kudos to all who worked hard on making this a wonderful event."

"It’s very beautiful but they won’t open back up until September 2 during the Labor Day holiday and they have a trail and it’s really steep lol"
