What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the friendly staff and the unique charm of the Fort Smith Trolley Museum, especially the operational trolley rides and the delightful resident cats. While some note a faint odor, the overall experience is highly positive, offering a nostalgic glimpse into local history.
"Really cool place with very friendly staff. There are lots of different old trains to look at outside. My son is obsessed with trains, so it was a great time for him. One of the staff members even let him look at the trolleys that were under maintenance in the garage. The trolley ride itself was also very nice.
Also, the cats are super sweet and friendly! This is a great place to check out especially if you have a little one who loves trains and/or trolleys!"

"I was raining and trolley was being fixed. The man that was there showed us everything. We also petted the cats. It was good we have to go back so we can ride the trolley and pet more cats. Thank you very much 💗 😊 ☺️"

"I wasn't sure if this is open or not and what the deal is, but I arrived at a quiet time. One of the "conductors" gave me a nice tour of the museum and the repair shop which was pretty awesome to see one of the trolleys being restored. Yes, the place smells like cat pee but they have a lot of cats here and I think that's okay.
And then the trolley came back to the station where I boarded, paid my "fare" and had a nice little ride around some of downtown Fort Smith. It's pretty cool and the trolley driver pointed out a few of the sites as he dinged the bell and crossed a few streets in a completely safe manner. This was pretty awesome and as a "big kid", I loved it!
This was a fun time and I'm really pleased to have found this little spot."
