Laurel Falls and Lost Falls trail at Desoto State Park Desoto State Park is within 10-15 minutes of most of our vacation rentals. The orange trail is our favorite as it goes along the creek with several waterfalls and cascades. I can not wait until the rhododendron bloom big and pink along the trail, you won’t want to miss it.

"It was nice and well kept. We didn't see any falls or running water but plenty of plants and flowers to see. Very pretty rock formations. It was a popular trail but not overrun."

Lauren Correa

"Good hike. Trail is marked ok. Could be updated and repainted in a few places. I got off trail once. A few slick spots in late fall after rain. Roots and leaves. Good view of both falls."

Clay M

"These trails provide a nice loop hike. Although not depicted in the trail maps the trails do connect at Lost Falls. The elevation change isn't difficult. However, trail terrain is a little rough. If you happen to hike near periods of rain the trails are slippery with lots of roots, rocks, and wooden bridge crossings."
