Parking lot is close to wooden ramp but as of Sept. 15, 2025, the local guide did not let us go down the ramp. Once I saw it from below I understood.
Instead it's about a 5 minute walk thru campsites and further down the beach to access the Pacific Ocean. Then a stunning walk up the beach to the Tree of Life.
Find your reason or no reason at all but encounter this phenomenon of nature, gently sitting closer to the sand with each passing day.

Climbed up the broken wooden stair case to return to the parking lot. An 85 yr old friend was able to lift herself up it, so despite a compromised spine, I took the challenge. If you do get up the broken wooden staircase, it's mere steps to your vehicle.

"The tree is slowly falling to the sand due to erosion of the cliffs. The rock formations and tide pools are fun to explore. We didn’t camp, but the bathrooms at the camp ground were not maintained. Be prepared for typical WA weather and bring layers and if camping, just assume all will be wet in the am. It’s absolutely beautiful here."

"the tree was pretty interesting and it was nice to see it while it's still around. it was pretty easy to access you just head to the right of the beach when coming down the stairs. the main staircase was closed due to weather damage but there was an alternative past the amphitheatre. they did have a ranger with a projector sharing information about the area and culture in the amphitheatre. i was able to find many large agates here which i did not expect!"
