What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Center for the Arts at George Mason University offers a diverse range of performances, with many praising the talent of the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra and student productions. However, some visitors have noted issues with venue operations, including long concession lines, small restrooms, and potential seating view obstructions. The modern building's aesthetics are also a point of contention for some.
"After spending $40+ for wine/snacks for my family, the usher became very aggressive when she saw us with the wine/snacks in the audience. She was pushy & unprofessional. The Warner Theater offers a better Nutcracker - you are allowed to consume the wine & snacks you purchase while you watch the performance and most of all, they are nice! And the Nutcracker at the Warner is much more beautiful with amazing dancers and a prettier set. Not to mention it is in a historic theater versus the unattractive mod building that is at Mason."

"There was plenty of parking and we enjoyed the walk from Parking Lot K near the little pond. The traffic guards were helpful and we saw a deer!
The theater is very big but I don’t love how high up some of the seats are because it’s difficult to see. All the ushers were so helpful.
The show we saw was meant to be dark and so every time someone opened the side doors it was distracting when light came in. There are huge windows so they couldn’t prevent the light, which means the halls can also get really warm."

"Who couldn’t like going to University if they went to George Mason. It ticks more than all the boxes!!! So many opportunities. I could of sit there for hours listening to the beautiful music that these amazingly talented people were playing 👏🏼"
