What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Howarth Park for its beautiful beach and dog-friendly atmosphere, calling it a beloved local spot. While the stairs to the beach can be a challenge for some, the overall experience of walking through the forest and enjoying the soundside scenery is highly valued. The park offers a great mix of natural beauty and recreational opportunities for families and pet owners alike.
"I love this beautiful beach. Every time I visit I feel like I'm home. The walk through the forest is so pleasant. The stairs are a bit challenging for me with bad hips but just taking my time made it easier. I wish there was a rail on both sides of the steps but people were kind allowed me the rail side. The beach is beautiful! There's sand and rocks and the waves are perfect! Being from a place with warm weather and ocean waves to surf, visiting this beach helps me feel less homesick."

"I've been coming here since I was a kid and it still one of my favorite parks. The main park up top has a nice playground and restrooms. The old train down to the beach is unaccessible currently due to fallen trees but can still be partially enjoyed. The beach is always fun to walk around and look for treasures. Make sure to go during low tide or there might not be much beach to walk."

"Howarth Park is a great local spot with a little bit of everything. There’s beach access, wooded trails, a playground, picnic areas, and an off-leash area for dogs. The beach is beautiful but keep in mind the tide makes a big difference, at high tide there’s very little sand, while at low tide you can walk far out. Parking can fill up quickly on nice days, so getting there earlier is best. Trails are easy to moderate, with some stairs leading down to the beach. Overall, it’s a nice place for families, dog owners, or anyone wanting a quick escape into nature without leaving Everett."
