The kids fought the first half mile and needed constant reminders to stay on trail, the older one didn’t want to come at all, the younger one complained about being tired, I lost my favorite scarf, it was more strenuous and slippery than antic...

"We hiked the entire Bass Lake-Dry Lake loop and added the Dry Lake Falls section. Beautiful.
The guide said 6.3 miles...it's more like 8 miles. The terrain is varied. Steep, flat, rocky, wood chipped, roots, dry, muddy in a few spots. Great views in spots. Well marked and easy to follow the trails. I'd consider this trail to be "moderate+". BRING BUG SPRAY"

Barb Van Tassel

"We hiked to the waterfall and back but the trail is scenic and rewarding."

Wyatt W. Penke

"I always enjoy this trail. It has history, lots of terrain changes, climbing, many beautiful views, and plenty of options. I tend to take the main loop, excluding the Dry Lake outer loop as it’s already 6.2 miles without it. Takes about 2.5 hours at a decent pace. Great fun."
