"Beautiful lake! Once you're on it you forget you're in a Chicago suburb. Rented a kayak today and had a wonderful paddle. Staff was top notch, quick check-in and out on the water in a matter of minutes. So peaceful, beautiful wildlife, plenty of jumping fish! Fellow kayakers and fishermen were polite and kind. Lots of places to explore and get a good workout. Some areas are shallow and have seaweed thaf can be annoying, but most of the lake is a good depth to paddle at a solid pace. Got a good 6 miles in. On hot days don't forget sunscreen and a hat! Loved it here and can't wait to come back. Canoes are also available to rent. But kayaks are so much more fun 😁!"

"Fantastic place to kayak! The lake is huge has numerous small islands, and has plenty of somewhat hidden inlets and area to explore. Lots of wildlife and even on busy days it’s easy to avoid people fishing. Rental staff is amicable, informed and helpful. Rates are decent."
