What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Longport Dog Beach as a top-tier destination for dogs to enjoy off-leash freedom and swimming in gentle waves. The positive, community-driven atmosphere is a major draw, though parking can be a significant challenge on summer weekends. Despite the parking woes, many consider it a worthwhile trip for their beloved pets.
"This is my favorite place on earth. If I die and wake up in Heaven, I'm going to wake up here (with valet parking 🤣). If you want a parking spot in the summer on the weekend get there before 10:30am. Otherwise - seriously don't try it. But if you do come its worth spending the whole day there. Please know - this is a DOG beach. Your stuff is going to get pee'd on. There are land mines, but to be fair the dog parents are really good about picking up after their pups. If you see a pup parent miss a poo, don't be mad, just help out. This is a great place for people with common sense and capable of self regulation. If your one of those that yells on soap boxes about the rules - this probably isn't the right beach for you.(The sign at the front says dogs on leashes- we dont follow it) Every other beach in NJ will accomodate you. This place has nothing but positive vibes and if you need a good pick me up day and u love puppers. Bring ur soul here and get some puppy kisses."

"I give it 4 stars, my dogs give it 5! Parking is tough but I love going here with my dogs. I hope it never goes away and dogs always have at least one little beach to enjoy."
Todd Palmer
"Definitely limited parking when it's hot out, but still a great beach. I like the fact that you don't need a leash because my dog runs fast as heck. The waves aren't that big so it's nice for small dogs as well."
