My father's family came over to America in 1745 to escape religious persecution and we have been Friends since then. And here is what I know to be true - QUAKER MEETING HOUSES DO NOT HAVE ANY RELIGIOUS PARAPHERNALIA ON THE WALLS. NO STATUES OF JESUS AND CERTAINLY NOT A MINISTER!
