"We’ve always used Paradise Hotel for overnight getaways in Peoria, but our recent stay was extremely disappointing.
When I booked two rooms for this past weekend, both were shown as fully covered under my room comps, but my card was charged $43.68. After calling to resolve it, the representative charged my card again, and I still have not received a refund for the first charge.
Upon arrival, there was literally nowhere to park, so my husband had to drop me at the door and walk from the casino lot. The front desk staff were distracted, focused on walkie talkies and other employees rather than assisting us. When I tried to bring up the previous billing issue, the representative simply printed a receipt and claimed I had been refunded—which I have not.
The room itself was filthy: stained sheets, dried blood rings on the bathroom floor, a leaking toilet, shower water spilling outside the glass, and heavy dust throughout. I have previously spoken to management about the cleanliness, but nothing has improved.
Check-out was no better; I did not even get a chance to ask for a receipt or address the condition of the room because the staff were too busy talking to a bus driver. I’ve tried reaching out to the hotel twice since our stay with no response.
We had hoped to reschedule future reservations, but after this experience, we will be looking elsewhere. Paradise Hotel’s declining customer service, filthy rooms, and lack of accountability make it impossible to recommend."

"First want to say this hotel was quiet and the room was wonderful. However, I booked the room online and must not have read the fine print. Several days after leaving a $7.84 charge popped up on my bill. I called the hotel front desk and “Joann” advised me this was a “resort fee.” I told her I had booked the room online and that I was never made aware of a $7.84 resort fee and wouldn’t have stayed there if I had since this was a less than 24 hour stay and there’s a Hampton Inn in the same parking lot. Joann rudely insinuated that I should have read the website which may or may not have said the fee would have come out of that second swipe for incidentals but could not tell me where on the website the disclaimer appeared. Her words when refunding me “It’s only $7.84 but I can refund you if it’s bothering you so much and I’m sure you won’t be back since you’re from out of town.” Just so Joanne knows I actually travel from Michigan to Kansas 4-5 times a year and have several favorite hotels I stay at. This could have become a stop but I will definitely do what I should have done in the fist place which is stay at the Hampton Inn which is a stone’s throw away and still accessible to the casino. Rooms were excellent, clean and safe but the customer service was definitely lacking and yes Joanne that $7.94 is my Starbucks allowance so it is important to me especially because the Hampton Inn has a continental breakfast and the Par-A-Dice “resort” does not!"

"Rooms exactly as pictured on site. Bed was super comfortable. A\C worked great. The towels smelled old and like they were burnt. The gentleman who checked us in about 10 pm had an attitude acted like it was a bother to help me. Acted like I was an idoit for asking home a question.
My hit a bonus just about every machine I played. Ranging from $6.00 to 88.00 nothing over 100 but I left in the positive. My husband however could win anything. He gave up kept his money and just watched me. Even though I won it was very small and a lot of older games. It was a nice place but I just don’t think we’ll be back."
