Spartan Stadium. East Lansing’s fortress of steel and sound. 🏟️ A century of Saturdays lives here. Born in 1923 as College Field, rebuilt and renamed through the 1930s and 1950s, and forged into the Spartan Stadium that roars today. MSU owns the moment. In 1955, the first college game ever televised in color beamed MSU–Notre Dame to 50 million viewers. In 1966, the Game of the Century ended 10–1...

East Lansing, MI — Spartan Stadium Rivalry week in Michigan always hits different. In 2018, tensions boiled over before kickoff when Wolverines captain Devin Bush took the midfield and tore up the Spartan logo with his cleats. The act became an instant snapshot of the hatred that defines this matchup. #fandom #baggedup #collegefootball #michigan

Reviews Summary

Spartan Stadium generally offers a positive game day experience with friendly staff and a passionate crowd, though some visitors have noted issues with stadium amenities like WiFi. The atmosphere is often described as electric, especially during key matchups, and traditions like the Spartan Marching Band and Spartan Walk are highlights.

"I’ve now been twice, both times as a UofM fan. The staff at the stadium are great, helpful and polite. Most of the fans are great as well, a little friendly ribbing when the Spartans make a good play, but that’s expected. Unfortunately there are also fans that are just the opposite, there was actually a guy in front of me laughing about an injured UofM player, but unfortunately each fan base has that kind of troll. Terrific views each time I’ve been there, reasonable concession prices and a fun atmosphere all around. The drone show before halftime was really impressive, though not enough to swap teams, sorry guys."

"Go Green! Go White! Go Spartans!
My first homecoming game was a great experience, you had to be there 😅.
Even though the Spartans lost to UCLA, I enjoyed the game, the atmosphere was electrifying, the MSU band was amazing. I enjoyed tailgating 😅 so much fun!!
Incredible experience, I loved it!!!
Go Green! Go White! Go Spartans!!
Forever a Spartan!!!!"

"Nice stadium, good fans, friendly staff. Only thing that pissed me off was that there is no WiFi, and when you’re sitting in the Sideline Club trying to order food, you can’t get enough of a signal to do so most of the time so the premium seating at least in that part is practically useless except for having a chairback seat and cup holder.

Get with it MSU, it’s 2025. I won’t return until you do."
