What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tamarack Resort Idaho is praised for its stunning mountain scenery and diverse activities, particularly its winter skiing and summer hiking/biking trails. Guests appreciate the well-equipped accommodations and the professional, warm staff. However, some visitors have noted issues with grounds maintenance and the expense of on-site dining.
"Been coming here for vacation off and on since 1996. First floor rooms are sld as hotel, second and third floor is all time share condos. Rooms are good size, beds are comfortable enough. Cable tv in the rooms, some rooms have 40 inch Samsung 4k tvs. Staff is professional and helpful. I highly recommend staying here."

"Would have given 4 stars last year if I'd remembered to write a review, but this year I was delighted to find a playground and ran here to give 5 stars! It's great that the village is becoming more accessible for young ones. Love for the outdoors starts when we're small! I would like to see an even more extensive outdoor play area with seating around the edges and a coffee hut right there for parents, similar to the coffee/playground spaces in Switzerland.
The mountain has gorgeous views, vibrant wildflowers this time of year (early July), and well-marked trails and crossings.
I'm also thankful for ski patrol this year. I saw 4 or 5 team members on the trails and it was clear they're actively scouting for anyone who needs help. While hiking to the mid-mountain lodge and back, I slipped going downhill on some gravel and ripped up my knee a bit. Will from ski patrol handled my minor injury with skill & care. He cleaned my knee better than I would have been able to at home, and his bedside manner was excellent so it was easy to stay calm and not be too bothered by the blood & dirt cleanup.
I also appreciated Cecelia and her warmth, hospitality, and responsibility. And I appreciated Nick and his care for the mountain and for the people out adventuring.
5/5 will visit again"

"I want to be totally transparent here... the resort was under threat of a large forest fire and I believe the maintenance staff was working hard to protect buildings. The snow makers were running to keep humidity high. Summer trip at a winter ski resort. Lovely location and extremely nice staff.
I am rating location 4 stars because it's quite a drive from Boise on a windy road, it would not be easy in the winter.
4star on rooms! This was the best designed outfitted condo I've ever stayed in! High end appliances, dishes, furniture, etc. We reserved a rom with private hot tub. It was filthy, cleaned on the morning we were checking out but still had a green slime ring. Manager gave a $150 credit. As I mentioned above, staff was super nice and dealing with fire issues.
The grounds were not well maintained, gardens full of weeds.
Summer rates were fair."
