"If you don’t skate, it’s still great. A lot of people are picnicking on the hills and under the trees. There’s a great view of the city and the Des Moines River, and you might even catch a competition. If you do skate, it has everything you want. It’s one of the biggest and best skateparks in the U.S."

"Well... it's impressive and large. Concrete is smooth and wonderful. Plenty of spacious areas to try out street tricks plus so many transitions and three pools - one of which is freakishly deep!! Locals are very chill and friendly. The overhead lights are very bright and are great to continue skating after sunset. The lights go dim at 10pm and then completely off at 10:30.
Parking lot is lit at night too, but be sure to stow away stuff as it's not directly connected to the skatepark.
Overall, highly recommended!"

"I love this park! There's so many things to do so it's great for anything you bring whether it's a skateboard, scooter, bike or rollerblades! Great flow to thrash up and down the park nonstop! The art is awesome to look at as you're there. Right next to the river and bike path. Quite a bit of space for parking. Everyone I've interacted with is friendly and always willing to help or teach one another. 😁🤙🏽"
