What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Inman Road Beach is appreciated for its natural beauty, abundant shells, and opportunities to see wildlife like seals and birds. However, visitors should be aware of the no-dog policy, the presence of shells that can be sharp, and potential for seaweed. Some reviews mention a strict lifeguard, while others highlight the peaceful, natural setting.
"It's a nice "private" beach that all the resorts along the area use. The beach is very clean with plenty of sand to play, fly a kite, or sit and watch the birds (sea gulls, ducks, & varieties of meadow birds), or wait patiently to spy seals gracefully gliding up and down in the water. At times they'll stop and look at you, as well. In the warmer months, you'll want to watch for sharks (we've been told by locals - where there are seals there are sharks.) There aren't any signs on this stretch of beach (there are many warnings on the public beaches.) This beach has a lot of small shells, piles of them and small crab shell that the sea gulls have eaten. My husband was lucky enough to assist a larger horse shoe crab from death, to the chagrin of a hungry bird. Enjoy this little beach... walk it's shore line and enjoy the blessings of this tiny section of beach."
