"This is hands down one of most favorite forts!!! The ferry to Pea Pod island then the tram to the fort. Wild life and pier was amazing then you are welcomed into a new time as you cross through the entrance to such a well done fort. Taking you back with the best reenactment actors that stay in character with great humor and knowledge. They answer questions as if they are in the 1800’s. The cannon shooting to top off your visit is perfect"

"I learned so much about 1860s American history by visiting here. I had visited two other Forts in Maine and Florida. But Fort Delaware is the most impressive one. The park rangers were realy nice. And staff reenactment of 1960s American history were so cool. They were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions like they were lived in that era. This is a must visit place if you come to Delaware."
