Reviews Summary
The Winneshiek County Courthouse is lauded for its beautiful historic architecture and impressive tower, serving as a charming landmark. It also acts as a vibrant hub for community events like Nordic Fest. While generally well-regarded, some visitors have noted potential challenges with accessibility and administrative service efficiency.
"Went in today to vote early, and I needed an updated ID. When I went to the treasurers, I was denied my ID. When I explained that I would be unable to vote without it, they told me that I was “in crunch time” and would have to ask the the county auditor. The ladies at the polls were very nice, and we’re empathetic with my situation. As for the treasurers they were more pathetic than empathetic. I don’t understand why they have their jobs, if they hate helping people so much."

"I cried when I gat home 😭 they tried my like a piece of trace and I could feel it and it’s because am I Mexican with a dark colored skin the lady throw me the papers like it was nothing. I feel discriminated really bad I can’t believe it now I know how it feels when they discriminate a person by their color. This is the first time I experience it after my 33 years of life and I can tell you this it hurts."
