What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Henry Ford Centennial Library is a valued community resource, praised for its helpful staff and welcoming atmosphere, especially for children's programs. However, some recent visitors have noted an increase in noise levels, impacting the traditional quiet library experience.
"I went in earlier today to get help finding a book. The staff member at the front desk was very kind and we ended up having a fun little chat. He mentioned that they were no longer allowed to read books at the desk, which puzzled me. I'm usually comforted by the calm atmosphere the library exudes. It almost felt unnatural this time around as part of what makes the library so comforting is seeing people, as well as staff, enjoying the books themselves. Im writing this review in hopes that this new policy is reconsidered, so that the usual warm library atmosphere we all know and love can return."

"It is a great place for children to read and enjoy activities such as drawing and installation. And Children can participate if they live or study in Durban, or if their parents work there."

"Worst Library I! it used to be one of the best. Now it's so noisy and loud. I heard that they can't do anything about it because the new administration is being lazy and is not giving the employees power to make sure it's silent. Horrible! There's someone next to me literally on the phone FaceTiming and this is a library. New director is horrible!"
