Many appreciate the interactive nature of the reconstructed fort and the peaceful marsh views. While some note its smaller size, most find it a worthwhile and engaging visit, especially during reenactment events.

"Very nice Fort with a lot of history. Though it may be on the smaller side, I was able to spend almost 3 hours here. I enjoyed interacting with people who were role-playing. I will be back for the future reenactments scheduled!"

"We spent several days going down the east coast visiting forts while going to our destination spot. This fort was one of my family's favorite!! So much to do and see, very interactive and informative! Beautiful flowers and grounds kept nicely trimmed."

Jennifer Ames

"Neat little museum with a fort and a few buildings. The ground arr are well manicured. The fort was constructed under the direction of Colonel Jack Barnwell "Tuscarora Jack" in 1721. It only served as a fort fir seven years. It's ran by a State of Georgia Park Ranger and volunteers. As underwhelming as the forts actual use in the early 1700's it's still an informative piece of history. In spite of it sitting right next to single family homes, there's a lot of wildlife."
