"I came here twice in mid September, once at midday and once just before sunrise. I wanted to get some photographs of the sunrise coming over the mountains to the east. It was nearly 32 degrees at that elevation and the air was very thin. It is an easy drive up to the parking area and it has restrooms there as well. There is a very short path up above the parking area to the highest elevation. The views are awesome, and I was the only person there at that time of day. Its definitely worth pulling in for a short visit if you are driving by."
